Pricing
Transparent Pricing.
No Surprises.
Every Vision Grounds installation follows the same commitment
to base engineering — whether it’s a driveway, patio, or front entrance.
What changes is the depth. What never changes is the standard.
How Our Pricing Works
Square footage is a
starting point, not a price.
We don’t price by square footage. We price based on labor hours, project complexity,
material selection, site conditions, and overhead. Square footage ranges help you
understand the investment territory before we meet — that’s all they’re for.
For driveways, square footage guidance works reasonably well because the variables are
more predictable: a standard residential driveway has similar site conditions, access, and
labor requirements across most projects. The ranges below will give you a useful ballpark.
For patios, pool decks, and architectural entrances, square footage becomes almost
irrelevant as a pricing tool. Two 500-square-foot patios can have completely different costs
— one is a flat backyard with straightforward access, the other is a terraced Hill Country
site with a slope, drainage challenges, and structural masonry. The ranges below still
apply, but treat them as broad orientation rather than a reliable estimate.
Every project receives a fixed written quote after a site assessment. The numbers below
are published so you can determine whether a project is in your budget before investing
time in a consultation.
Investment Ranges
Four project types, one installation standard
Regardless of project type or budget, every Vision Grounds installation uses the same base system, the same edge restraint, and the same Unilock materials.
Flagship Service
Paver Driveways
$25–$45 / sqft
Square footage guidance works reasonably well for driveways. A standard two-car driveway runs around 400–500 sqft. Larger estate approaches, circular driveways, and courtyard designs expand that range considerably.
- Standard two-car driveway:$12,000–$22,000
- Large driveway with apron detailing:$22,000–$45,000
- Estate driveway, courtyard, or grand approach:$45,000–$100,000+
Unilock Ultima™ Technology — up to 4× the strength of standard concrete — and EasyClean™ stain resistance are available across the driveway catalog. Material selection affects total investment.
Service
Artisan Entrances & Walkways
Starting $15k–$40k
Front entries and architectural walkways are defined by design complexity, not square footage. A formal entry with custom masonry pillars, step sequences, and decorative borders involves a fundamentally different scope than a simple path — regardless of how many square feet the surface covers.
- Structured front walkway with border detailing
- Grand entrance steps with architectural masonry
- Custom winding paths through garden areas
- Elevated front porch overlays
Square footage is not the primary pricing variable here. Design complexity, cut work, and masonry integration drive investment level far more than surface area.
Service
Patios & Pool Decks
Starting $35k–$75k
Full entertainment zones — multi-zone patios, pool surrounds, outdoor living spaces — are priced primarily on complexity, site conditions, and structural requirements. Square footage is listed but should be treated as rough orientation only.
- Single-zone patio with clean geometry
- Multi-zone outdoor living with dining and lounge areas
- Pool deck with coping integration and drainage planning
- Hot tub or outdoor kitchen structural pads
Site terrain, drainage requirements, and integration with other structures (pools, fire features, kitchens) make square footage nearly irrelevant as a standalone pricing metric for these projects.
Service
Full Estate Transformations
Starting $95k+
A complete hardscape master plan connecting driveway, grand entrance, patio, and pool deck into a unified outdoor environment. These projects typically involve significant grade reclamation, multi-level retaining walls, and advanced drainage engineering.
- Full front-to-back property hardscape design
- Multi-level retaining wall systems
- Major grade reclamation on sloped lots
- Advanced drainage solutions for Hill Country terrain
Projects of this scope are quoted after a thorough site assessment and design consultation. Investment is highly site-specific.
Every Project, Every Time
What’s always included
The installation standard doesn’t change with budget. What changes is
materials, complexity, size, access, and terrain. These elements are present in
every Vision Grounds project.
Engineering Site Analysis
We assess drainage, slope management, and load-bearing requirements before any work begins. Every site is different — and we plan for what’s actually there.
Correct Excavation Depth
12-inch excavation for driveways. 4–6 inches for patios, walkways, and pool decks. Depth is determined by surface type, not preference.
Geotextile Fabric
A separation layer installed between native soil and the base course. Prevents clay contamination from migrating upward — a critical step in Texas soil conditions.
Open-Grade Base System
Angular crushed stone that drains freely and remains stable as soil contracts and expands. This is what separates installations that hold for 25 years from those that fail in five.
Tensar HX145 Geogrid (driveways only)
A structural reinforcement layer embedded in the base of driveway installations to distribute vehicle load and resist lateral movement. Used on all Vision Grounds driveway projects.
Concrete Beam Edge Restraint
A poured concrete perimeter beam with rebar and fiberglass reinforcement — not plastic snap-in edging. Every project, every perimeter. This keeps the paver field locked in position permanently.
4-Year Workmanship Warranty
Every Vision Grounds project is backed by a four-year workmanship warranty. If something fails due to installation, we address it — no negotiation required.
Final Walkthrough
Before we consider a project complete, we walk the entire installation with you. We show you what we built, explain the maintenance routine, and answer every question you have.
Common Questions
Pricing FAQ
Do you price by square foot?
No. We price based on labor hours, project complexity, material selection, site conditions, and overhead. Square footage is published on this page because it’s the most common reference point homeowners use to gauge investment territory before a consultation — but it’s guidance, not a formula. For driveways, square footage works reasonably well as a rough estimator. For patios, pool decks, and architectural entrances, it becomes almost irrelevant.
What’s included in every installation?
Every Vision Grounds project includes: engineering site analysis, correct excavation depth per surface type (12 inches for driveways, 4–6 inches for patios and walkways), geotextile fabric separation layer, open-grade angular stone base, Tensar HX145 Geogrid (driveways only), concrete beam edge restraint with rebar and fiberglass, a four-year workmanship warranty, and a final walkthrough before we consider the project complete. These elements are not add-ons or upgrades — they are the standard.
Do you offer payment plans or financing?
We don’t offer in-house financing. Projects are structured in two payments: a deposit at contract signing and the balance upon completion. Many homeowners use home equity lines of credit or personal loans for larger scopes. We’re glad to provide a detailed written quote suitable for a financing application.
How long does installation take?
Most residential driveway installations take 3–5 days on-site. Patio and outdoor living projects typically run 4–7 days depending on scope. Full property transformations with retaining walls and multiple surfaces can run 2–4 weeks. Timeline is discussed specifically during the Project Readiness Consultation and confirmed in your written proposal.
Why are paver projects more expensive than concrete?
Paver installation requires significantly more labor than concrete. A concrete pour is a single material placed in one operation. Interlocking paver installation involves excavation, base layering, compaction, bedding, individual paver placement, precision cut work at every edge, and joint sand installation — each step done by hand to tolerances that a concrete pour doesn’t require. The upfront cost is higher. A properly installed paver surface typically lasts 30+ years without major intervention. Concrete in the Texas climate commonly requires significant repairs within 10–15 years. Over that horizon, the cost difference narrows considerably.
